About our SynagogueMenorah Synagogue is a member of the Reform Synagogues of Great Britain. We are committed to celebrating Jewish traditions and beliefs in a way that is meaningful and relevant to modern life. All members of the congregation are encouraged to participate in all aspects of synagogue life - spiritually, ritual, education, community life and social activities. Menorah Synagogue was founded in 1963 and has a flourishing and ever-growing membership. We are a friendly, caring, lively and energetic community offering something for everybody. Membership of Menorah Synagogue covers a wide geographic area encompassing south Manchester, Cheshire and north Staffordshire. |
Our servicesOn Friday nights our Shabbat service starts at 6.15 pm and lasts about half an hour and is followed by a kiddush. On Saturday mornings our service begins at 10.30 am and lasts about one and three quarter hours and is also followed by a kiddush.There are monthly chavurah suppers on Friday nights and occasional chavurah lunches on Saturdays.
