About our Synagogue

Menorah Synagogue is a member of the Reform Synagogues of Great Britain. We are committed to celebrating Jewish traditions and beliefs in a way that is meaningful and relevant to modern life.

All members of the congregation are encouraged to participate in all aspects of synagogue life - spiritually, ritual, education, community life and social activities.

Menorah Synagogue was founded in 1963 and has a flourishing and ever-growing membership. We are a friendly, caring, lively and energetic community offering something for everybody.

Membership of Menorah Synagogue covers a wide geographic area encompassing south Manchester, Cheshire and north Staffordshire.

Our services

On Friday nights our Shabbat service starts at 6.15 pm and lasts about half an hour and is followed by a kiddush. On Saturday mornings our service begins at 10.30 am and lasts about one and three quarter hours and is also followed by a kiddush.There are monthly chavurah suppers on Friday nights and occasional chavurah lunches on Saturdays.
