ADULT EDUCATION AND ARK PROGRAMME, SPRING TERM 2009

Friendly and supportive classes for adults of all ages & levels. Classes are held on Sunday mornings at Menorah Synagogue

Dates

18 January, 25 January, 1 February, 8 February, 15 February – no classes, 22 February – no classes, 1 March, 8 March, 15 March, 22 March

Classes 10:00 – 11:00

· Modern Hebrew: Elementary (Requires knowledge of aleph bet)

· Prayerbook Hebrew: Beginners (Learn the Hebrew alphabet and read basic prayers)

· Prayerbook Hebrew: Improvers (For those who can read Hebrew and wish to improve fluency and knowledge of meaning)

Break for coffee and bagels 10:45 – 11:15

Classes 11:15 – 12:15

· Modern Hebrew: Intermediate (Requires basic vocabulary and knowledge of present tense)

· Access course (A lively introduction to Jewish life, with Rabbi Fox)
