About our SynagogueMenorah Synagogue is a member of the Movement for Reform Judaism. We are committed to celebrating Jewish traditions and beliefs in a way that is meaningful and relevant to modern life. All members of the congregation are encouraged to participate in all aspects of synagogue life - spiritually, ritual, education, community life and social activities. Menorah Synagogue was founded in 1963 and has a flourishing and ever-growing membership. We are a friendly, caring, lively and energetic community offering something for everybody. Membership of Menorah Synagogue covers a wide geographic area encompassing south Manchester, Cheshire and north Staffordshire. Our Synagogue is currently being rebuilt and Services are held in different places: details from the Synagogue Office. |
Our servicesOn Friday nights our Shabbat service starts at 6.15 pm and lasts about half an hour and is followed by a Chavurah meal. The Friday night services are currently held in members' homes. Details can be obtained from the Synagogue Office. On Saturday mornings our service begins at 10.30 am and lasts about one and three quarter hours and is also followed by a kiddush.
